About Our Pastor
Pastor James Martin
Pastor James grew up in the foster care system after suffering from years of abuse and neglect. He was eventually adopted. Orrstown UB is his home church. In his early teen years he served as a camp counselor at a regional Christian camp in Greencastle, PA, during which time he was able to share the gospel to campers. However, in his later teenage years he turned away from God and the church for a brief period of life, but eventually returned after hitting rock bottom. Pastor James brings with him to the church over 10 years of corporate and executive management experience in the hospitality, healthcare, and social services industries. Pastor James began feeling the call to ministry on his heart while serving as the camp counselor, but never really put it to fruition until recent years. When he is not working or studying, Pastor James loves to watch all sports, particularly baseball, and during the summer can be found frequenting Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia rooting on his beloved Phillies.
